Perinatal Mental Health Therapist

Caitlin Tucker, PLPC

Caitlin Tucker is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) with advanced, specialized training in perinatal mental health. She has completed additional professional training through Postpartum Support International (PSI) and the Postpartum Stress Center, two of the nation's leading organizations dedicated to evidence-based treatment of perinatal mental health conditions. Her clinical training included an intensive internship at Baton Rouge Perinatal Counseling, where she worked alongside clinicians specializing exclusively in reproductive and maternal mental health.

Before becoming a counselor, Caitlin spent nine years as a high school educator after earning her Bachelor's degree in Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. Her years in education deepened her passion for supporting emotional well-being and ultimately inspired her transition into counseling. She earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Louisiana State University in 2026 and practices under the supervision of a board-approved Licensed Professional Counselor.

The transition into parenthood is one of the most significant psychological and biological changes a person can experience. While it can bring incredible joy, it can also bring anxiety, depression, grief, identity shifts, relationship stress, or feelings of isolation. These experiences are common—and they are treatable. You deserve specialized care from someone who understands the unique challenges of the perinatal period.

Group Therapy Sessions

Our Matrescence Group is a professionally facilitated gathering for mothers navigating the emotional, psychological, and identity shifts that accompany the journey into motherhood. Each session blends meaningful conversation, evidence-based education, and practical coping strategies in a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you can connect with other women who truly understand.

Whether you're expecting your first child, adjusting to life postpartum, parenting multiple children, navigating infertility or loss, or simply beginning to make sense of your own motherhood journey, you are welcome here.

This is an open group, meaning you can attend the sessions that fit your schedule—whether that's one meeting or many. Space is intentionally limited to foster meaningful discussion, and advance booking is required to reserve your spot.
